Let’s face it, no matter how well we plan, outline, or research, we often will get bogged down in the second act mire. When that happens I hit the couch (if I’m at home) or stare out the window (if I’m at a coffee shop) and daydream. I just step aside in my mind and let the movie tell me how it wants to play out. It works every time. Characters often reveal hidden traits, the dialogue flows, surprises pop up in unexpected places.
Try it, maybe you, too, will be a daydream believer.
Keep writing,
Mark
