Monthly Screenwriting Opportunities: Script Writing Assignments & More

Once a month we we are going to post free opportunities for our screenwriters highlighting execs/companies looking for material.

Please note that writers in our Top Tier program get first dibs on these but if you have something that fits the bill, please email us the appropriate material (based on the blurbs below). Roadmap Writers will read and evaluate your work. If we feel like it's appropriate for the exec, we will let the writer know exactly where it's being sent and will ask for approval to send before doing so.

***Note: Writer retains all rights to submitted material and no material will be sent to anybody without the writer's consent.***

September 2017 Opportunities

  1. Manager looking for female horror feature writers. If you have a grounded horror feature (a la "Don't Breathe"/"Get Out") please send the first 10 pages and a one-page synopsis to joey@roadmapwriters.com. The script must be completed!

  2. VP of Development at an unscripted company looking for reality, docu-series, unscripted ideas. The project must have some kind of attachment (this doesn't mean a celebrity, but somebody with a big personality). Please submit a short synopsis with a series idea and a short bio of the talent to joey@roadmapwriters.com. Please make sure you have the rights to pitch your attachment and that they are aware!

  3. Executive looking for comedies set in high school (raunchy comedies a plus). Features only! Send your synopsis and the first 10 pages to joey@roadmapwriters.com.

  4. If there is any Intellectual Property (articles, books, etc.) that you have the rights to, email us a little blurb about the IP and we can see if it will match with execs we work with. Email us the blurb to joey@roadmapwriters.com.

***

***Note: When emailing us please mention what opportunity you are submitting to.***

Please submit your material only if it is appropriate for the opportunity and be sure to follow all directions in the entry.

If you don't hear back from us that means that, unfortunately, we didn't feel the material submitted was right for that particular opportunity (please don't follow up, as follow up emails will not be answered).

Always in Your Corner,

Joey Tuccio
