We all know the writing life can sometimes be lonely and thankless. But we can also find immense joy in our craft, and often the difference between a frustrated screenwriter writer and a successful screenwriter is attitude. Your “attitude of gratitude” can make you a better writer and improve your career track.
There are three ways to make gratitude work for you as a writer:
Say thank you.
Appreciate rejection
Have a positive attitude.
Have you said, “thank you” every day for your gift? (The universe is listening.) Have you thanked that manager or executive who gave you great notes? A handwritten “thank you” note goes a long way in building relationships. Appreciate the many rejections you receive. Embrace them as opportunities to learn and improve. Remember, every “no” gets you closer to a “yes”. A positive attitude strengthens your immune system and improves the quality of your sleep. It also chases away writer’s block and elevates your writing. Start each writing session with gratitude and you’ll be sure to overcome the challenges along the way.
Keep writing,
Mark
