One thing I’ve learned about writing is—if you fear you’re going to fail, you cannot succeed. Success and failure go together like breathing in and breathing out. One cannot live without the other This is why it takes real courage to be a writer.
Courage is staring at a blank page, knowing it is a steep mountain that must be climbed and knowing the climb is going to hurt like hell. It’s knowing you might never reach the top, but you climb anyway. Courage is when your heart bleeds on the page. Courage is saying you will quit tomorrow, but that you’re going to hang in there today. Courage is always in the now and now is today and every day.
Keep writing,
Mark
